Personally I feel the Axis in Normandy not getting a new tank would not effect them at all and perhaps something else might be better. The other idea is simple but probably less popular… Nothing, or more accurately something else that isn’t a tank (ex. And to that you are correct, however the side armor is very weak, and the 88 only has 11 degrees of horizontal traverse because of its hull mounted gun, which I feel balances it well. This you might think is a bad idea, the long 88 is VERY powerful and the front of the Vehicle can withstand even the 90mm from the M26 minus a few weak spots (lower plate and machine gun port). So now you might be wondering alright that could work, but what would Germany get? I have two half baked ideas for this one, Germany could get the Jagdpanther G1. Do they want the Sherman 76 with the Stabilizer(once they add the Stabilizer), do they want the M26 Pershing with more armor and the far more impressive 90mm cannon, or the m4a3e2 with thicker armor with far less weak spots then the M26 but the weaker 75mm cannon. This will allow players to strategize on what vehicles they want to bring in. My solution is to add the M26 Pershing to the Normandy campaign as a new vehicle for the 3rd armor division 32nd armored regiment(if you are wondering why 3rd armor division the famous M26 Pershing Eagle 7 was in this division and regiment). Yes I am aware skill is a large part of it, but if both players skill is the equal the German tank will always come out on top unless you get lucky or until the 76 Sherman gets its stabilizer. However it sucks being outmatched by the higher end German tanks. I feel as though it captures the WW2 vibe the best out of all the campaigns. I don’t think im alone when I say Normandy is my favorite Campaign.
